  • Proactive Bully Prevention?

Does your school have a program? I'm looking for general feedback on programs.

    TIA!

Yes. Our school has the counselors in the classroom for a "lesson" at regular intervals (1 x/ 2 to 3 weeks?). They discuss bullying, being a good citizen, interacting with others appropriately, etc.

Almost exactly what Shakti said for the grade 5-8 school, intermittant school wide programming for grades 1-4.

The middle school also offers a girl's developmental weekend seminar with several break out topics which is supposed to be fantastic. Both the girls and parents attend and they discuss puberty, bullying, self esteem, and relationships. I would like to see one offered for the boys as well but apparently it isn't. Hmm...note to self...inquire why.
