Public school dictating the life of the kids beyond their scope is a extremely sore subject for me. I applaud you for standing up for your child. I think its a win for everyone. Do these teachers really want to grade all this homework? really? I doubt it. You've won this battle, get ready. There will certainly be another.

For those of you who don't have school kids quite yet--- this is how bad it is. When my 3 yo colors at our kitchen table she calls it homework. After she scribbles a sufficient amount, she brings it to me to sign it. Lol. She knows homework isn't complete without my initials.Peggy
