Out of curiosity, why are you opposed to homework in their rooms? Being an introvert, I would have haaaaated being forced to do hw with people around me. I did all of my homework from K through HS alone in my room. Alternatively, my brother (the extrovert) couldn't focus unless there was activity and people around him.

None of my kids are introverts. (Really, never met a stranger.) They can't stay on task in their rooms and get into mischief when they are out of my sight. Also, I don't want them unsupervised with the Internet when they start computers.

I bought a bunch of activity stuff in the $1 section at Target for DD3 to work on while the others do their school work. It has been a constant battle for years. I feel your pain.

I do have a little table. Now I'm trying to think about where I could put it. These are helpful ideas.
