My kid wears through sneakers like a bad ass. For real. Help me- what are the sturdiest sneakers out there for narrowish feet size 13.5- 1. Keene held up but they are too wide for his feet now. He has some Morgan and Milo ones now. It's been three months and the rubber is coming apart from the sides. Help!

This may be old old old advice, but Stride Rite sneakers lasted through everything.

I got some old Stride Rite shoes for DS at a consignment store and they were awesome. After that I was sold on the brand and started buying them new. They did not hold up very well (but he is very hard on shoes). I think their quality may have gone down. One pair started to come apart pretty quickly so I e-mailed them pics and they replaced them with a different pair. I got got him a pair of Nike shoes for school at the end of the summer and they have actually been holding up well.

I'm also pretty brand-loyal to Stride Rite.

DS1 hasn't destroyed a pair yet: however, he grows a lot and so we change shoes frequently.

I have had great success with Teva, Osh Kosh, Toms, Keen, and now he's in Sketchers (of all things).

Honestly? My kids out grow shoes like crazy, so I don't spend a ton of money on them until they can take better care of them.

I've had mixed success with Stride Rite. Recently we've been happiest with See Kai Run sneakers, but my boys have slightly wide feet.

I've been really happy with Pumas for my narrow heeled guy.

Thanks for the ideas. I ordered a pair of Pumas, pedipeds and Hanna anderssons from Zappos. I so loved keen sneakers but he's just too narrow now.
