Kate is doing a pre-swim season thing-- it basically is a swim workout 2x per week. She was told by one of her friends that when you are on your period you can't swim in the pool. I think this sounds way off-- because of course she'd be using a tampon. Her friend missed an entire week of practice b/c of her period last week. Kate doesn't want to go tomorrow b/c of this. I'm just a bit skeptical that this is the pool policy? Or is it? Can it be? This program is only 4 weeks long-- seems to me that if girls can't go for 2 practices, they should have a reduced fee for being in the program by 1/4.
I'm tempted to just send her to the workout anyway... But do you think I should call the pool first and ask what their policy is? I honestly can't imagine them having a no-period-even-with-a-tampon rule. That would make no sense at all...
