teacher gifts in middle school?

For Christmas we gave all Kate's teachers a $5 panera gift card. That's not even a meal. But most of them sent thank you notes and were really appreciative, etc. Do you do anything? She has 7 teachers, and I think she would like to give something to maybe 5... The health teacher is not her fav and I think she only has her for 3 months or so and the long term sub for science is not on the short list.

Do you do anything for Middle School?

In my years of teaching, my experience has been that most middle school students do not give gifts to their teachers. It is just too much to buy! Kudos to you for doing what you did at Christmas. Honestly, a note from a student who enjoyed my class would mean a ton to me and would cost nothing!
