This is one of the reasons I won't allow more than one activity (at least for now). Last spring Maggie decided to try volleyball. She had ballet 3 days a week, volleyball one night a week and games on Saturdays. She also had Saturday rehearsals for the spring performance and since ballet takes precedence over everything, she missed half her games. She was exhausted and more than once went from rehearsal to a game or the other way around. Vball season ended and we swore we wouldn't allow that again -- especially in elementary school (she was in 4th).

This year she has ballet 3 days a week for 1.5 hours each. If there's a performance, then she has rehearsals on the weekends. Ella goes twice a week for 1.25 hours each. She'll be on Maggie's schedule next year. I do all sorts of volunteer work for the ballet theatre because I'm there so much anyway!
