    This is what I would like for my kids, I had to work to much to not go into a ton of debt. I'm glad now I don't have the debt but I wish I wouldn't have had that extra have to do, my grades would have been better.

      Allowance in college?

      I only worked a few hours a week. I think my parents wanted to instill a work ethic in me. My tuition and all bills, including food, clothes etc. were taken care of.
