nubbies in sweaters

There might be a post somewhere and I missed it ....
I am wondering if anyone knows a good way to get the nubbies off sweaters? I have a nice wool sweater that I love, but it gets super nubby even just from things rubbing on it (like the baby) washing is worse!

Straight edge razor blade carefully drawn across the top of the sweater- and when you hand wash it, put a tiny bit of hair conditioner in your water and it will help prevent it.

I shave mine with the Venus razor (usually wait till it dulls a little). There are also special sweater shavers and dry cleaners can do it for you (but it's more expensive that way).

I have a sweater fuzz shaver thing that i use. Of course, now that I want to find it to tell you the brand name I can't seem to locate it...figures. But it does a pretty good job on my sweaters that fuzz and get nubby. If I happen to find in a reasonable amount of time i will update you on that. I have used it on my couch too. it is fabric and gets some "nubby" things on there...keeps it from looking old and worn.

DCJenn...I had never heard of the conditioner thing...I will have to try that to help stop it from happening just in case i can't find the thing.

They are lint shavers...this is what I have. It gets the nubbys too...
