  • My neck....

    ...is itchy and dry.

Please tell me I am not allergic to my cashmere muffler.

What could it be? If it's laundry soap, then why don't have have these itchy scales anywhere else?

I've had this all winter. I forgot to add that I lather moisturizer on the spot every night and in the morning.

Maybe it *is* the heat and rubbing. It's only on the right side of my neck.

      Or something.

My dh was madly in love with this girl who had a bad case of neurodermitis. They dated for a few years and were pretty serious. I finally met her a couple of years ago. The poor thing - she had these dark rings around her eyes, open sores, dry skin and finally found an ointment that would temporarily help out with the itchiness.

My dh was kidding me that he's only attracted to women with dry skin. Some help he is...

Do you spritz perfume on your neck? A few years ago I had the same problem, I stopped wearing perfume and the itching/dryness went away. I think the alcohol in the perfume may have irritated my skin.

When I realized that I was allergic to the generic laundry detergents, only my lower legs would itch. I'm leaning toward, perfume/detergent/dry cleaning solution.
