We got a scooba last weekend and we love it! We turned him loose room by room and let it clean our floors while we tended to more important things, like playing outside. It surprisingly did an awesome job and our hardwood floors were filthy. I don't think I ever got the floors as clean! Now if only there were robots for other chores I hate doing.

I never knew such a thing existed.

About how long does it take to clean each room? Does it dry pretty well? Hopefully DH hasn't picked out my Mother's Day gift yet.

We love are roomba! We haven't tried the scooba yet, but we are tempted. It would be great for the bathrooms and our one tiled floor area.

I'd imagine it would be bad for the hard woods long term? I'd wonder about using all that water everyday....... but mostly......

Scooba vacuums and washes! It vacuums first, then mops, then squeegies it dry. It can't pick up a pile of cheerios but it gets the small particles. We swept the floors first to remove all of the big pieces (glue sticks, ripped paper, toys, etc.) It does get the occasional cheerio. What's remarkable is how little the tanks are. It uses very little water/solution considering the amount of space it cleans. It's about 45 minutes for a complete cycle. You can also use plain vinegar in place of the clorox solution. But, it uses mostly water anyway. Highly recommend.

Since DH "forgot" Mother's Day, I ordered one for myself. It's supposed to be delivered today!!! I am so excited. I am tired of lugging out the hoover floormate out every other day. I have nearly 500 sq ft of tile I have to do each time. I hope it is as great as you say
