  • i'm a little behind the curve ....

But I just bought a Swiffer Wet Jet and I am in LOVE! I had one of the original swiffers w/the wipe-things on the bottom, and was never super impressed. After watching OCD Kate on "Jon & Kate plus 8" use a swiffer I figured if it's good enough for her, it's good enough for me. Super easy and a nice result.

Better than milk spots staying until I get around to mopping again, anyway.

Now who has the answer for tub cleaning?

ITA. I LOVE my Swiffer Wet-Jet.

And the answer for tub cleaning: begging my DH to scrub it...I HATE the fumes!!

      Merry Maids?

I have no idea other than ye olde hands and knees.

I just bought the Method floor mop "system" and will report in accordingly. (basically a swiffer on one side and a mop thingy on the other)

the problem w/my tub (b/c I know you all really care) is that it's very deep, and set in a tile surround. I can't reach the bottom if I'm on my hands and knees, and it's very, very akward to reach across it, etc. Add to it that the bottom is textured, and it seems to hug dirt or hair. Since the only thing I ever use it for is shaving my legs (no jacuzzi jets, I'm not interested), it constantly needs a good cleaning, and whatever I muster doesn't seem sufficient.

if you've read this - thanks for the love.

          This thing works for me:

I use this too. It is great because you don't have to touch anything except the handle and you don't even have to bend over.

I actually have one of those, so I pulled it out again last night. It did help with the reach, but that texture on the bottom of the tub is such a PAIN! I honestly think the people who built this house put in the CHEAPEST tub possible.

Speaking of swiffer and easier cleaning and the like.....My MIL bought me one of those mechanized sweepers. I don't know what it is called but it is AWESOME!
