  • Installing beadboard?

of anything to do/install, I think beadboard is one of the simplist. I'd give him a shot. The beadboard itself is pretty cheap, so you're not risking a lot to let him test his home fixer-upper skills (if that's what he wants to do). You will overpay for the job.

Agree w/Jenn. Beadboard is supposed to be quite easy to install. You can do it yourself if you get a sitter and save $30/hr.

I LOVE the look of beadboard. Go for it!

We decided we didn't want to pay for it and did a chair rail for each child's room.....it's not the "same look" but it is classic and cheaper.

DS's room has a different color paint above and below the chair rail.....

Can we have before and after pics if you decide to do it!!!

I know I'm not very helpful here...

It's fine- it's easy. I did it at the one husband and 5 houses ago. It's super easy if he has a nail gun but you'll have to weigh which is more likely, him hammering himself in a finger or two OR shooting himself with a nail.

            yeah, should be easy!

trip hides all the exposed edges and it should look great. Hoping the walls are pretty flat and level, if not have to pick some bigger trip for the top.

My Dh put up some beadboard in our kitchen under the counter where the bar stools sit. It was simple and looks nice.
