  • hard-to-kill indoor plant?

So I've already killed the little miniature rose the nice cashier at TJ's gave me when they didn't have a bunch of stuff we wanted. *sigh*

Any suggestions for hard-to-kill indoor plants for someone who obviously sucks at keeping plants alive but wants to give it a shot?

I can't tell you because even if I don't kill them, my cats do.

nothing like ferny type things chewed to the nubs. and of course I'm paranoid about them eating something posionous. But then again I'm also too lazy to do a search to find out what is poisonous and what isn't.

    Good luck though.

My snake plant seems pretty indestructable. I've only had one die and that was because it was huge and my dog (a chow mix) kept hitting it with her tail as she wagged it. You can plant it outdoors depending on where you are but we keep ours inside. It's done well in Louisiana, Texas, and now here in Ohio. i've only managed to keep aloe alive (and it's good to have on hand for burns).

I've heard that MIL tounge is hard to kill, too.

How about a ZiZi plant? I too kill plants but I bought my ZiZi at IKEA 3 years ago and it is still going strong. I also like to buy plants at Lowes because you can exchange them if they die on you (I think they have to be bigger than a gallon). Yes, I've actually done this (just 2 times) when I put my pride aside and walked it with a dead plant. It was a 6ft ficus that had cost us more than I would want to pay for a plant. Needless to say, we gave up on the ficus after the second try.

Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

            Artificial ones.

I think I'll have to settle for some too!
