  • Ravelry!

I can't remember if it's been mentioned here or not, but if anybody else here is into knitting/crocheting/spinning/dyeing/etc., and you haven't already, get yourself over to http://www.ravelry.com and put your email on the waiting list; current wait time is less than a month (down from several months earlier this year). There are almost 40,000 people on so far and another 15,000 or so on the waiting list.

Part of the site is "groups" you can join, each with their own little mesage board. Someone started one called "Help! I married a doctor!" I felt right at home.

Well, I guess my search skills were inadequate to the job, as I thought the idea of such a group was novel when I suggested it here a few weeks ago.

Enjoy, don't get too drawn in -- it's addicting!

Yeah, I'm trying to take it slow; haven't actually logged any of my stash or needles or projects yet, though I need to soon!

Sorry I forgot you'd already mentioned it here; I wasn't in yet (obviously). When I found the Help! group, I was searching on "medical". A search on "doctor" came up with that group, and one for doctors - which has 72 members!

I think I was reading random people's profiles when I found the doctors one, and all the discussion of "do you knit on call?" That's what made me think a spouses group could be fun and I searched but didn't find one -- the search function is a bit wonky though, from what I've found.
