  • Tell me about your toaster oven

I'm thinking about getting a toaster oven to replace our regular toaster (which seems to be slowly dying). Do you like using yours to toast things (breads, bagels, etc.)? I think I'd also like to use it to cook smaller things where I don't have to heat up the big ol' oven, do you like how it cooks food too? Is there really a difference with those fancy new convection toaster ovens? And what kind do you have?

    Thanks!

Yes yes yes. I can't sing the praises of our Cuisinart electronic convection toaster oven highly enough. Love it. I've seen it at Costco, but I got ours on a special gold box deal on amazon a few years ago. We hardly ever use our main oven, since it's just the two of us; the toaster oven fits most things we want to cook in an oven. See the "oven help" thread for why convection's so great.
