  • anybody try to scrapbook with toddlers around?!

I'd like to have some friends over to scrapbook, but I'm not sure how my toddlers would do. In the first six months after they were born (you know, when they stayed in one place), I used to spread everything out on the floor and spend hours scrapbooking. But that was by myself, and I could stop anytime and take a break for a few hours if I needed to.

Has anyone had successful scrapbook sessions (or other craft sessions) with friends when you had toddlers? How did it go?

    In short....

    NO.

I have tried giving my toddler (s) their own scrapbooking stuff, letting them color...you name it. Nothing is more interesting that mom's pictures.

To really enjoy a crop, I think you need to do it sans kiddos....but...that's just me and my little ones. Maybe yours is an angel?

Oh, I needed a good laugh this morning!

Maybe I should hire a babysitter for the event. It's been a while since I've scrapbooked, and I'm so far behind - need motivation.

Our moms club does this where moms can take turns watching the kids while others do their crafts/scrapbooking. I'm not into it so I can't say how well it works, but they do it every month so I guesss it works.

I'm far behind too. It almost feels hopeless at this point.

I think the babysitter option is a good one!
