i have been skimming the classifieds online for a dining table since january. when we moved from the old house to this one, we had to use card tables again.
(old house already had nice table and chairs and we had to leave them there)dh and i have gone round and round about buying a table. i scored three wooden chairs for free from the salon i clean, and the babes sit in boosters straped to folding chairs. so, we didn't care about chairs. i just couldn't bring myself to spend hundreds on a table. :huh:
finally, last week i saw two farm tables with butcher block tops for sale, $50/each. i never called, then when i checked again the add was gone.
STUPID! i looked again this past saturday...and guess what! they were listed again. dh went with the intent to get one, and decided on both. they're in great shape, and with the two of them pushed together, we have a huge square table...with...and this is the best part...enough room so that both dd's dont torment the crap out of ds. they can't reach him no matter how hard they try.
