Has anyone heard of it? Used it? What do you think?

Heard of it....it is recommended by some cloth diapering sites. I've never used it, though.

I used Charlie's for a year (first the powder then the liquid.) I was really happy with it! Then I started getting a little fed up with it because it just couldn't handle our super-hard water when it came to tough cloth diaper messes and bibless baby clothes stains. So I switched to Country Save, but after two bottles I'm bored of that :P and it wasn't a huge improvement. I'm using what was left of my Charlie's on my clothes again, and now I remember why I was so happy with it at first! My clothes are clean and totally soft.

In summary, I think it's worth a try. Especially if you're already used to non-perfumed detergent. But give it a few loads to reach its full potential, it wastes some "cleaning power" by scouring your machine at first (and, sometimes, redepositing those residues on your clothes!)

I use it for baby clothes and cloth diapers and I think it does a fine job so far. It works out really cheap too because you use so little. And it works in our HE washer.
I don't use it for all our clothes though because DH likes his clothes to smell "clean" i.e. fragranced!

I didn't realize it was HE/front loader compatible....maybe I'll give it another look. I've found it hard to find a decent detergent that is HE/FL safe.

I'll give it a try. I'm always willing to try biodegradable cleaners if they work well. I tried the BioKleen laundry detergent and wasn't happy with it. I like Mrs Meyers but it is expensive and I only use it on my sheets to make them smell good. I'll give Charlie's a try and report back!
