I've resolved that next time I'm going to try Zicam. I've also heard that Airborne can help.

I drink hot water with lemon, honey and ginger. I drink this a few times a day. I swear this really helps.Mom to three wild women.Comment

I take a steamy shower, drink some water and go to bed for a few hours. This really seems to shorten it for me.
I have given up trying to pretend that I am not sick when I am but I have no little kids around.Comment

I've been taking Elderberry extract and I think it really helps. There have been a few times I thought I was past the point of avoiding the cold and I woke up feeling fine. Getting some extra sleep helps me too.Comment

I've had a killer cold now for a month---I think it must be two different colds actually at this point. Anyway, my advice would be to take the airborne, the zicam, the lemon and hot water, a steamy shower, elderberry extract and go to sleep now. Let me know if it works! I hope you dodge the bullet!

Only one we do that hasn't been mentioned is Emergen-c. I prefer lemon-lime and pink lemonade flavors, with ice-cold water - the cold and citrus dull the tiny bit of vitamin-y flavor. It's a good infusion of C, which can't hurt, right? :huh:Sandy

I'm a big fan of Alka-Seltzer Cold/Flu medicine. It won't cure a cold but it alleviates symptoms quickly and doesn't make you drowsy.Wife and #1 Fan of Attending Adult & Geriatric Psychiatrist.Comment

I slept for 11 hours last night, and am feeling meh. Neither here nor there. I've got a sore throat and some sneezing, but could still go either way... I'm staying indoors and trying to keep warm.married to an anesthesia attendingComment
