  • Stinky Dry Cleaning

My 95 year old grandmother gave me this fantastic long suede coat. I took it to the dry cleaners and it came back with this awful and incredibly strong chemical smell! I put the coat in the closet and the whole closet and all my other coats smell! I just took it to another dry cleaner one of the fancy "no toxins" "no chemicals" with the hopes of getting the stink out. It's a little less strong, but still stinks

Any suggestions on how to get rid of stinky dry cleaning chemicals out of suede??

Did those cleaners specialize in suede? It makes a huge difference, many cleaners will say they can clean suede but only few know what they are doing. Call around to a specialist and see what they recommend. Good luck!!

May be air it outside for a day if the weather is nice. Or put febreeze cloths in the pockets and sleeves.
