Grapes

Our new (old) house has a trellis with concord grape vines on it. Am I supposed to cut these back in the winter, and if so, do I cut them all the way back?
We had quite a few grapes in September, though we didn't do anything with them, and at night this enormous raccoon would climb the trellis and pig out on grapes. It was fun to watch.
Any advice appreciated.

Don't have any advice but wanted to say how I envy your vines...we have tried to grow some but so far no fruit.

My mom cuts hers back by about a quarter or third. I think my neighbor does the same (or about half? not the the ground). I wonder if it varies by type of grape and growing zone? You could experiment a little since they are established. Aren't grapes pretty hardy once they get going?

How do the raccoons scale the trellis? That must be pretty cool!
