  • Baking Pans

I want to make a Angel Food cake, but I don't have a pan. So while I was out shopping I noticed Angel food cake pans and bundt pans. I know they are different but can I just buy one of them and use it for both....

    Re: Baking Pans

My limited understanding is that angel food cake is fickle and can easily fall if there is too much fat on the pan. So it's best to have a pan that is only used for angel food so that it doesn't get over greased.

Angel food pans release differently than bundt pans do. Bundt cakes kind of just pop out and Angel food pans have a release mechanism. At least mine do.

I guess technically you could make an (ugly) bundt cake in an angel food pan?
