? about mattresses - foam vs. spring

Tempurpedic here. Love it. For kids I would not do foam.

My brother has a foam (Temp) and my parents have a Sleep #.

We have a spring, but I put a memory foam topper on it. Very comfy.
We both run hot, so not sure if foam would be a good idea.
I've slept on a Temp before and I felt very uncomfortable.
Something you have to get used to, I guess (?)

We've had a Sleep Number bed, too. I don't think there is ANY comparison. And the Sleep Number beds have a tendency to eventually develop leaks around the connector to air pump motor.
