  • How to display a Hindu religious icon?

I wasn't really sure where to post this, but since it has to do with our house, I thought this might be a good spot.

DH and I got a relief/bust (made of a bronze-type metal with the ability to hang it up on the back) of Ganesh (Ganesha?) as a wedding gift. We want to display it in our home, but we aren't quite sure where to put it. Is there a best place to hang it? Or should we place it where ever we need obstacles removed from?

    TIA!

Just had dh ask his mom, she said it should be visible when you walk in the front door.

      Thanks Jenn!

I've got two spots I can display it in: right over the doorway to our laundry/faux-basement area or on the half wall that goes upstairs (we live in a townhouse). I'm going to wait until the tall one comes home from his ED shift and have him help me decide which spot is better. Right now, I think it's going to look better over the doorway.
