I cut the phone lines to my house this week! I am refurbishing one of the bedrooms in my house. Last year we got Verizon FIOS for TV/Phone/Cable. Well, I thought I don't need this phone line anymore, I have FIOS. I cut it flush to the wall and replaced a small piece of the wall. Wallboard, jooint compound, spackle and sanding all done, yep - I need that line. I guess the phone still uses the same phone line.

Fortunately, I have another phone line coming into the house downstairs, and this still works. Damn, how could I be so stupid. I consciously cut the line, and it was several hours later before it hit me!

Bummer! At least you have a second phone line in the house! I get a little crazy sometimes when I am in "fixing" mode, too!

No need to fix it!!!! I plugged the phone in downstairs, and the extra portables only need a power outlet. I can't believe I actually had another phone line coming into the house downstairs. Maybe everyone does, I really don't know.
