And we let dd, age 5, pick her colors.(the other two babes picked their colors too) Other than the new carpet, which is coming Tuesday, and eventual furnishings (she has a bed) the room is done. What a pain in the ass!!
Background: a crazy cat lady owned the house. The house is hardwood except for the girls bedrooms. The smell was crazy gross. We pulled up carpet. We tore up tack strips. We scrubbed the floors and walls. We sanded all the woodwork, and put BINS everyfreakinwhere.
Then came the pepto pink walls. It was overwhelming! The color that is. Then I found cute flowy sheer-ish white curtains. That helped A LOT! Then I decided some border would help. We've never painted and we've never done wall paper.
I present you...an almost finished, VERY girly room!

Home improvement/remodeling is a vice for me - it is very girly, but the border gives it a fun, hip feeling in addition to the pink. So pretty!
