  • Air purifiers

DH and I bought an air purifier last week. The one we bought got excellent reviews but so far I can't say I notice any difference. I'm not sure if I should be able to notice a difference, and if so, what level of difference. We got it mainly because the paint fumes/renovation smells/drywall dust were causing sore throats/problems breathing. This air purifier has a HEPA filter, activated charcoal, etc.--is supposed to be an excellent air filter, but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be noticing, except that the symptoms haven't changed so far. We got up as much drywall dust as we could, and I think we got nearly all of it through shop vac, HEPA vacuuming, filter changing, mopping, etc. but I think there may still be some around.

Sorry you're still having so much trouble with all the fumes & dust. Does it say in the instructions how long it's supposed to take to clear out paint fumes? Are you able to get out of the house today, or do you have more people coming to work on things?
