  • Wrapping a gift

I bought a baby blanket for a friend who just had a baby. It is wrapped in a plastic bag and sealed with the round company sticker. The blanket has no tags on it, so the only way to see that it is new is that one would have to break the sticker seal.

How do I wrap something like this? Any ideas for how to wrap it without the plastic bag and it not look like a re-gifted present that has had its

In a department store box (not necessarily branded with a department store, but you know the type I mean; the ones department stores put clothing in if you want it gift-wrapped) with nice tissue around the blanket, inside the box.

If you can take the sticker off the plastic without ruining it (cut it out, maybe?), then attach it to the tissue, even better.

As long as it doesn't look used, and is wrapped up nicely, I wouldn't worry about it seeming regifted. You know where you bought it, and if the recipient is worried about it, you can produce the receipt, so don't worry.

Ayaiyai--I couldn't get the sticker off the plastic nor cut it out.... But it was a great idea, Sandy. . I think the sticker was attached to the baggie for quite some time, and it just wanted to wrinkle and rip before allowing itself to be peeled.... Grrr.
