I don't even know what that is but I'm not surprised you a) know what it is and b) totally handled the whole thing yourself with aplomb.

Reverse Osmosis

Reverse osmosis is a water filtration method. We have hard salty water here, and we rented a softening system from Culligan that removes the "hard" ions (calcium magnesium etc) but it replaces them with "soft" ions like sodium. Makes the water even saltier. I can't stand the taste and it's no good for the fish tank....so I got the RO system and the water tastes do much better! It does remove fluoride so I'll need to ask the ped dentist about supplementing the kids, but damn the water was salty! I'd rather supplement fluoride than OD them on sodium!Mom of 3, Veterinarian
