  • Issues with Shark Mop?

Ours is only 1.5 years old and it doesn't get *that* much use

It stopped making steam...I think it is clogged? It happened about a month ago and I put some vinegar in it...immediately cleared out and worked for that mopping. This time it worked for 5 minutes and stopped working again. No dice on the vinegar trick this time

Anybody else have this issue? I really need to mop my nasty floors!

yep, that sounds about right. years ago i was upset that a Shark product quit working. I went on line & discovered through several complaint boards that they basically make crap products. Their warranties are long enough to cover the avg amount of time the products work...usually by the time it "poops" out on you the warranty has expired. Suffice to say I have never even considered a shark product since!

Grrr...I guess I can go back to mopping the good old fashioned way. I really don't want a steam mop for Christmas!

Bummer! Vinegar can ruin it, the owners manual said you should not use vinegar.

Hmm...well it wasn't working before the vinegar. That was the only thing that unclogged it. The owners manual also says NOT to use distilled water and only use tap water...doesn't sound right to me!

I really like it, it does a good job, and it was less than 30 bucks

We have the same thing! I like mixing my own baby/dog friendly solution. No batteries FTW!
