So, now that we are knee-deep in toddler-hood... I need a handheld vacuum. Cheerios... crackers... noodles? I have no idea how one child makes such a mess. I know in the past, most of the ones I've had were junk and I don't want to waste money. What works for you?

I went to Costco & purchased a Eureaka stick vac that pops apart & becomes a hand vac. It was a Costco employee that said to buy one from them, because if it loses suction, like the crap dust busters that are made now, I can always return it & get a new one.Last edited by Momo; 11-10-2011, 11:39 PM.

Ask Santa for the Dyson Handheld. Tell him Bed Bath and Beyond honors the 20% coupons for Dysons.
It has been worth every penny -- doesn't lose suction and lasts for 20 minutes or so at full power.

NOT this one:

It's mindblowing...for the 5 minutes it lasts. Then you have to charge it for 24 hours and you get to use it for another whole 5 minutes! I was bummed because it works so well when it has a charge.Married to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.

I always check good housekeeping when I need a new appliance because I love the testing that they do. They just had an article in their October issue about handheld vacs. Unfortunately I couldn't find it online. You could probably get it at the library.
Here is a link to some buying tips though - http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/prod...andheld-vacuumCranky Wife to a Peds EM in private practice. Mom to 5 girls - 1 in Heaven and 4 running around in princess shoes.
