Glue for crafts

Quick question. I'm ordering some feathers, pipe cleaners, plastic googly eyes, etc on amazon. What kind of glue is appropriate for this kind of stuff (glueing to used up TP rolls, paper bags)? Elmer's? Glue stick?

I like tacky glue for that kind of stuff...goldish-brown bottle

It may not stick very well but I use the glue sticks at that age. If I give them real glue I put some in dollop on paper or something and give them a toothpick to put it on with, otherwise I find its really messy.

Yes, I use this too. Aleene's original tacky glue and there is also a quick dry version.

A really fun toddler activity is to play with cornstarch and make cornstarch goo (lots of recipes online) or just put some flour on the table and let them play, make designs, and just have fun. Note: these are very messy activities but tons of fun for little ones.

We are hitting the age where dd loves to MAKE her playdoh and MAKE artwork. It sucks for her, bc 1) dh and I don't have an artistic/crafty bone in our bodies and 2) dh's tolerance for mess is almost nonexistent. I want dd to explore and make stuff to her heart's content.

Haha sounds like DS! We tried a bubble bath, and he freaked out, saying "A mess! A mess!" Aren't little boys supposed to like messes?!

Haha! Sounds like me as a baby at the beach. I wouldn't step off the towel because it was "dirty."

Try the flour. It's messy but feels good in the kids hands so it doesn't bother them too much.
