MomSchwab, how do you have room for 8-9 loads of dirty laundry but no room to sort? I keep a laundry basket in our closet and a hamper in the babies' room. Every morning, I collect either all the colors or all the whites and put them in the washer. No sorting except for deciding what to pull out of the hampers in the morning. I usually end up with a load of colors every day, one load of whites and towels per week, and one load of linens. It actually saves space because I rarely have more than one load of dirty laundry to be done and, since clothes are cleaned frequently, we don't need large wardrobes.

Sounds like my schedule. I keep a laundry basket in the boys' closet that they put their clothes in, so it's easier for me to just take it straight to the basement. I also automatically fold the clothes on the dryer as soon as they come out. Always. Now, it's a natural habit. I do.not.iron.period. And use Downey wrinkle releaser if needed. Unfortunately, our wardrobes are still way too big. With 2 and 5 year old boys with their peeing, I deep clean the bathroom about every other day. Wish I was joking. The day DH gets his first attending check is the day I hire a permanent cleaning crew.
