In good news, I have secured the gayest, most super perky realtor to help me find a condo in our impending new town. He's awesome! and has a lot of exclamation points in his emails!

I just looked him up. Pretty sure he was the same guy I contacted a few years ago when we were looking. He sent me some good listings and was nice, but something popped up on Craigslist before I had a chance to use him.

We had an issue with this last house, the selling agent was also the listing agent and we allowed her to remain both. BAD IDEA. We could have requested that someone else in her office represent us, but we didn't. Clearly she was more interested in the seller than in the buyer (as I would have been in her shoes). She got both sides of the commission, so her goal was to keep the price as high as possible and we didn't realize that until it was too late. Did I mention we are not business people??????

^^ happened to my parents. Dude gave away the window treatments she had sewn herself without asking. It was all sorts of shady.

On another house, my parents found out after the fact the realtor held an offer for three days before presenting it to make them nervous.
