We have really nice bedroom furniture (Thomasville), so we definitely always planned to keep that. Mostly what we were debating was living room furniture, but I think at this point it's too much trouble and cost to replace it. If we were getting rid of so much more, we might actually save some money, but probably not just getting rid of a couch and a chair. We will live with slightly frumpy furniture for a bit longer! I trim the cats claws every other week usually, and water pretty much does nothing - they think it's a game. We do need to get more scratching pads/posts though and spread them out better, because I think that will help some.

We got a ton of stuff boxed up to give away, so I feel a lot better having that done. We've got a hand-me-down dresser and night stand to put in baby's room, and my parents want to buy a crib for us, so I'll probably take them up on that and then paint the other two to match. I'm just ready to have all of this over with - just a few weeks to go!!
