  • Mattress Cover...

Is making me homicidal. I've been waging a war with this particular mattress cover for a couple of years. We have a standard size Serta Euro top king sized mattress. This mattress cover is allegedly supposed to fit a king sized mattress. Every time someone so much as sits on the mattress, the corners raise up and the top/padding part becomes "ruffled" for lack of a better word and then in turn makes the sheets ruffled/rumpled. Every single morning I have to pull the fitted sheet down from the top corners, and yank the mattress cover back up to the corners/hook it around the sides. I purchased one similar to the one linked below and it has been the most annoying thing ever.

What are some reliable types of mattress covers/mattress pads that will grip the mattress and stay put? Nothing ruins my morning like seeing the fitted sheet/mattress cover combo look like recently-planted rows of crops (i.e. little hills) after a night of being slept on. Is it too much to ask to have a bedding system in which the mattress cover and fitted sheet stay in place?

We got ours through the furniture store specifically for our mattress - maybe try that route?

DH picked up an inexpensive Beautyrest one at Walmart that works best on our crazy deep mattress. Before buying another one maybe try using those mattress pad and sheet clips?

I've tried those and this mother f*cker STILL snaps out of the clips and rides up. DH is all "just put the sheet straight over the mattress", but...just no. Otherwise it would have been long gone but I haven't found another that looks to be as grabby as I'd like.

We bought our last mattress at Mattress Firm and got their cover. It's worked well so far.

I think ours is like this, but I'm not 100% sure. We have a Simmons Beautyrest Recharge, and it fits over it really well. Are you looking for a pad, or just a protector? Ours is just a protector, because we didn't need anything on top of the padding that the mattress has built in, but you lose your warranty on the mattress if you get a stain - the protector is waterproof (but not plastic-y feeling at all) and has a warranty of its own.
