  • Lamps!

Any aspiring decorators want to help me find lamps for our bedroom? We are looking for table lamps to put on our night stands. I'd like to spend $40 or less per lamp. I'd like something semi-neutral that still goes with our current bedroom, but that we could use when we eventually move (and I finally decide to buy a new duvet cover).

Our walls are tenant white, since we rent. Our night stands look like this: www.crateandbarrel.com/Dawson-nightstand/s107070, and we have the matching bed as well. We currently don't have any other furniture in the room, except for a crappy Target bookshelf that doesn't match with anything. The duvet cover looks similar to this rug, but the pattern consists of both chocolate and beige circles: http://tinyurl.com/khscm4d.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I am definitely no aspiring decorator and don't claim to have any taste at all, but for 40 bucks you can get three lamps for now, and then when you are able to spend a little more, you can look to find the right lamp for you: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Adesso-3-...9#.Up0cHsRDtQ0

From what I saw, the lamps under 40 bucks weren't exciting. You might go to a world market if they have one near you and see if they have anything on sale in the store.

      I'd try Home Goods.

I second Home Goods. My bedside lamps are very similar to a pair a saw at Restoration Hardware for over $200 each. Bought them at home goods for around $100 for the pair.

You can easily find lamps for under $40 at TJ Maxx/Home Goods/Marshalls.

Thanks ladies! I nearly always forget to check out those types of places for home products. I'm sure we have a Home Goods around here somewhere. For some reason, I always forget that store exists!

In Brookfield, I think on Capitol.

You could also try the Habitat for Humanity restore. Depending on the location, there are some awesome finds in there!

Ooh that's a great idea! The Restore is a block away from my apartment! I aways drive past thinking "I should check that place out sometime". And then I keep driving. Maybe I'll do it tonight!

I really love the Re-Store. Wish we had one nearby.
