We have a drawer full of USB cords and another full of power/charging cords, in one of those plastic wheeled drawer thingies. It's a mess, but it's in DH's office, so I don't worry about it. I know where to go when I need a cord. If it was up to me, I'd do the toilet paper roll thing, probably. Maybe the hanging shoe-holder thing. Would at least keep them tidy.

Um, wow. Do you guys offer consulting services? I would love this!
The one helpful hint I do use with cords is that I take painters' blue tape and a sharpie and mark what each cord belongs to. I also try to squeeze in the year it was purchased because this comes in useful more often than not..
We've got three (THREE!!) rubbermaid bins of cords, adapters and electronic gizmos. Some have only historical value. I'm scared to throw any away because I always seem to be missing the exact adapter I need. It's a mess. I do think the over the door shoe organizer thing might work well, but I'm currently using that for office supplies on both my office doors. Maybe I need to condense so I can have one side for cords and adapter....
