  • Oven/stove

Have you purchased one recently or have one you love? If so tell me what it is!

We are thinking of remodeling our kitchen in the next few years but my oven is starting to piss me off. Lately it has started to cook really unevenly. The bottom and back side are a lot hotter. The last few times I've cooked potatoes the back 1/4 to 1/3 have burned while the front is just right. I have the same issue with the burners too. The one I use most is hotter in the back.

The stove/oven combo also has a small gas leak no one but my nose can find.

I'm thinking it needs to go sooner than later.

    DUEL FUEL!!!

We've had it in our last two houses. Electric oven (cooks very evenly at an exact temp - important for baking) and gas range (nicely cooks food more evenly and quickly). It's pricier but you can find great deals and is a major selling point if you go to sell the kitchen.

I have to agree with dual fuel. Love mine.

Ok. Duel fuel. What about brands? Do the best change year to year or are there some reliable brands out there.

Not sure on brands, I'd go with consumer reports on that. Also, check out craigslist, I know that sounds crazy but we got a great deal on ours (guy was re-selling an inbox model from HHGregg). I'd go visit some and see what you can get for a great deal too.
