I just met with a house cleaner! This has been on my wish list my whole adult life. She's going to start coming next week bi-weekly, and I'm looking forward to not having to apologize for the state of my house every time we have unexpected company. Of course, I'm feeling the obligatory guilt about how as a SAHM, I should be able to handle it on my own, but mostly I'm just excited!

Rock on!!!!
Day 2 here of having a college student come over and help me clean up. Having her here motivated me to clean too, so she did the downstairs and main level and I did the upstairs AND cleaned out our messy closet in the master bedroom. She's coming twice a week right now. I am so happy to have her that I wish I could keep her here for me! She's willing to clean/organize/do anything.
Sorry to hijack! I'm happy for you!!!

It took about 5 years to not feel guilt over this. (Who am I to deserve such luxury when there is so much need in the world...blah, blah, blah. Yes, my issues runneth over!) You (and everyone) deserve all the goodness and abundance the universe has to offer.
Until you can believe the above statement, stay out of the house while they clean. It is just easier to deal with. LOL. The road to enlightenment is a million steps. Until then pack snacks, magazines, and do what you can.In my dreams I run with the Kenyans.
