Someday I will have a laundry room sink and I will love it! I would kill for a separate laundry room right now--Nate constantly starts/stops and mixes together clean/dirty/wet loads. If I'm lucky, we can parlay this into a housework helper for me someday, but for now it is incredibly annoying.

I have these!! The Whirlpool Cabrio and I really do love mine. The steam feature in the washer I believe is to keep the water at a certain temp throughout but let me double check that. I spot great everything. Fore throwing it in and use the oxy feature too. I've done a combo of deep water and mixed but I follow the manuals recommendations for washing certain things and haven't had any issues. Everything gets cleaned

Do you feel like the clothes get wet enough? I often have spots - I assume in folds - that are still dry when I take the clothes out.
I wonder if it's my detergent too - I use seventh generation, and then always the dye and fragrance free oxy clean.
I do love the dryer....

I really don't know what kind of water I have so I'm no help there. Everything is wet when I take it out. When loading the clothes, it's recommended to load the sides, leaving a "hole" in the middle. I use Tide with Downy and I'll add a couple of those Downey fragrance things. I also make sure to shake the clothes and toss them in so that they don't tangle and if they do get tangled it's either cause I over loaded it and used the wrong settings/water for it

Not clothes, but we used 7th gen dishwasher soap for a while, and then the dishwasher stopped getting the dishes clean. We called a repair guy, and he said "use a real detergent like Cascade, and call back if they still don't get clean". It was like magic. It would probably be worth trying a different laundry soap.Sandy

It's funny, we just went to get a new washer. Our old one (Samsung) died. I wouldn't buy a Samsung. Doesn't last. We got the cheapest front load HE that was the most reliable-- Maytag. Will use that sucker up, 2 years warranty included (1 year manufacturer warranty doubled using the Costco citi card to purchase). The $120 they tried to get me to do the extended warranty plan will be seed money for the next replacement.
I never did really think the Samsung got the clothes very clean, but we are what I'd call "heavy" users. Lots of towels, too much sand, too many kids... And the washer moving across the ocean by crappy terrible military movers didn't help any. (Came back rusted.) Anyway, we now have a mismatched pair, bc the Samsung dryer works great.
But if you got this at Costco and don't like ANYTHING about it, definitely return. Get a new one (if you think it's a lemon) or just a new set altogether.Peggy
Aloha from paradise! And the other side of training!
