Nice! I'll have to post ours too. We're getting painting quotes today.

      I love that fireplace.

Did you guys add the island?

Thanks, me too, especially now that we've changed the paint color.

The island was there, just out of the shot in the first picture. We had it repainted though, because it was all scuffed up.

More pictures!! I need to pick a floor color. I'm leaning toward Provincial, because I love how it pulls out the grain in the oak.

I like the middle floor color. I feel like darker floors are hard to keep clean and after a decade of the “dark floor” trend, I think it’s going the other way soon.

I definitely don't want super dark. I wanted to love the middle color - my realtor put it in her house, and it's gorgeous. But, I think the contrast with slightly darker against the lighter walls and the fireplace will look nice. Hopefully.

My vote is provincial too. I hate golden oak with a passion. I think you are safe with a medium tone brown. If you look at a lot of historic homes, they tend to go that way.

Floor guy hasn't started yet. Hopefully he can finish in 2 weeks! I'm in love with everything else so far though! We'll replace the ceiling fan in my bedroom, and those are new floors that still need stained.

Everything is done for now! We still have some minor things to do, like the cabinet pulls in the kitchen, light fixtures, and window treatments. We'll also do a major renovation in the master bathroom in the next few years and probably paint some of the rooms we haven't touched, like the formal living room, formal dining room, foyer, guest room, office, and playroom. We also still need to replace the flooring on the screen porch. But, here are the major changes, before and after!

                            Foyer/front stairs:

Formal living room (these curtains will go):

                            Half bathroom:

                            Kitchen:

                            Breakfast room:
