  • storing bulbs

I just dug up a ton of bulbs that never flowered in the spring- a grocery sack full. I am pretty sure they were daffodils. I waited until all the leaves turned brown first. Now I dont know the proper way to store them until it is time to plant. I did a google search and it looks like maybe I should replant them right away even though it is months early or I am supposed to store them in a cool dry place and assume some might rot. I am not sure what to do...

You could take a few of the bulbs into a locallly owned nursery or to a botanical garden and ask if anyone can identify them for you.

If they are daffs, they can stay in the ground. They sometimes don't bloom well if they aren't planted in direct sun. The south or east side of the house are best.
