what is in your front closet?

For the most part we use the coat closet for coats. But since there's room for other stuff, why not cram more. So besides coats, there are also skiing pants (and other accesories), window fan, random wedding presents (that we don't have space to display), umbrellas, a bag of old scrubs from various NYC hospitals (that are too small for DH and too big for me), duffel bags and some other random stuff that needed to be shoved somewhere.

okay - here's the finished product. Not nearly as cute as Angie's, but MUCH improved over this morning.



The $15 shelf just fit (as in, it's actually sitting on the molding, but why the hell did they put molding in the back of the closet??), and the shoe cubby was actually in the garage (that's the way Hindus do it), but no one ever used it out there.

Very nice, Jenn! I think the trick is having enough space, honestly. When we cleared out our closet, we moved a bunch of stuff to other storage areas in the house. When we lived in a small apartment, we had no options but to slam the door shut and open it only when wearing protective gear. It takes time to sort and shuffle all that cr&p out. And to keep it out.
