I have baked 4 doz pecan balls, 4 doz. gingerbread men, 4 doz. thumbprint macaroon things, and 4 doz chocolate chip/M and M cookies. I stored them next to the magic cookie bars, the snowflake sugar cookies and the peanut butter blossoms in the freezer. I may never want to bake again.

And the kids are asking to make cut outs now.

What kind of cookies are you making for the holidays?

Mmmm...I love those pecan ball cookies.

I have made vanilla bean poundcake mini-loaves, chocolate pretzels, ginger crackles, cardomom palmiers, rugelach, cranberry shortbread bars, and gingerbread snowflakes.

I have more dough in the freezer for the palmiers or rugelach. I'm going to make and freeze some dough for DH and the kids to make spritz cookies for Santa and will do cut-outs with them depending on baby status. I do love those thumbprint ones too and have plenty of nuts in the freezer to make them. Stop me before I bake again.

Coming from the girl who does NOT bake, I have made 6 doz. gingerbread cookies, 5 doz. sugar cookies, 3 doz. chocolate chip cookies, chocolate walnut brittle, and 3 doz. chocolate dipped coconut macaroons (definitely making more of these - they are awesome!!!)

What you don't know is that the sugar cookies and gingerbread were from Pillsbury and the brittle came from a recipe on a chocolate bar!

I promise the ones I send out will be more "hands on."
