  • Buttons / Knitting / Crafting

    Hey all,

My mom is very into knitting and sewing and with money so tight, she's asked for two simple things.

    1) A reamer to be able to drill holes into shells and other things she finds to make buttons
    2) Any unique buttons we can find (she would need 6) for her creations.

My question is does anyone have any ideas on where to find unique buttons. Her preference is natural materials and earthy colors but I don't want to just buy a bunch of stuff online. Just wanted to throw it out there in case anyone has any ideas for other presents sparked by those suggestions or if anyone knows where I can get unique buttons in Cleveland?

    Thanks!

Fine Points is a well-stocked knitting store near Shaker Heights and I seem to remember they had drawers and drawers of nifty buttons. Maybe check the Knitting Room in Woodmere (across from Trader Joe's) as well.

I'd recommend River Colors (it's way over in Lakewood, but well worth the trip) over Fine Points, actually, though I realize Fine Points is way more convenient.
