Has anyone done this? If so, does it work, do the leaves hold their color? I'd love to do this if it really works. I LOVE FALL!!!

Let me know what you find out, if you try it. I would LOVE to do that!

I think this would work. I once painted a leaf with clear acrylic (I think) for an art project and it preserved the leaf. I think this would last the season at least. It looks cool, I want to try it too!

DH's cousin did this as a "gift" to their grandma when she came for T'day with her BF for the first time. Grandma's got a thing with table settings. Point being is that she loved them and recently commented how she was excited it was fall and she was taking them out to put them back on display.

I have never tried this and can't wait too. I take big maple leaves and pine cones, dry them out, then soak them in some sort of scented oil (fall i use pumpkin spice, and winter i use cinnamon) Then I put them in a big clear glass vase. They smell wonderful and it looks nice on the table or near the fireplace.

That sounds amazing...I might have to do that this year. I always think of doing something like that when I walk into any general crafting shop this time of year (Michaels, Beverley's) because they always smell so enticing.

It does smell great. I also take the oil dilute it with some water in a spray bottle and spray the faux flower for fall I have in the sun room. So they smell great. When Ryan's parents where in town, his mom kept saying, "How do you get it to smell like a candle store in here."

Has anyone tried this yet? I'm way behind on my fall decorating but might give this a whirl if it's not too much of a pita.
