  • Okay Paper-lovers...

I am on the prowl for new stationery - or paper to make stationery. So what are your favorites, most of my cardstock has come from Stampin' Up (from which I love their stamp pads) but I'd like to expand on my collection to include stationery that I can send thank yous on.

Ideas? I am getting tired of making thank you cards - especially when I'd like to write a longer note.

I love this site - they have everything from casual to formal and I love their stamps.

I love dempsey & carroll. Be sure to check out their "sale" page. Otherwise, their prices are prohibitive.

Whatever I find at Tuesday Morning. But I have a lot of toys to make my own cards. Big time Stampin' Up! fan here!

I am a SU! addict......uh I am a demo for the sole purpose of getting my discount.

If I want to write something longer, then I will make my own stationary from whatever paper I have around, and tuck it into the thank you.

Fabulous stuff in all price ranges and designs.

Of course I was drooling on the Kate Spade website last night. Sadly, I can't justify $35/8 holiday cards.

So I was thinking this year of making Christmas cards. I wanted to put our family picture on it, and fold it and then write a greeting inside. Would I just need some red cardstock or are there different kinds of paper? This is all new to me.

Oh wow! I just found some blank folded card paper on one of these sites that I could use. (Why do I feel like I am talking to myself with all of these replies I just made). Ok, I just got really excited!

Christine, the possibilities are endless. You can use any color. I like an olive green. I have designed cards on the computer then printed them up on the cut card stock. You could just put a family picture on the front then stamp "Happy Holidays" or "Merry Christmas" on the inside. Or just do a postcard with picture and stamp on the front. I've made our cards for years. I don't think I'm doing cards this year. Mailing them is just to expensive. I've tried and tried to cut the list down but I still end up making and mailing about 120 cards each year. Gotta love those Irish families. And you can't mail one to one aunt and not uncle. Anyway. Have fun. Making cards is fun. I've been sewing lately so no card making besides shower invites. It's hard to have more than one hobby when you have 3 kids.
