I have been using YouTube to learn and so far so good.. I have the knit stitch and the purl down. I am currently working on reading my very first pattern, which combines the two stitches.. So we will see..

i went through a time when I knit constantly! It was really relaxing. Then I had a baby and when I finally would have had someone to knit things for, I didn't have time anymore. lol

I love to knit and my dream was to open my own yarn shop once E finished residency. Guess where that dream is now.

My sister got all of the artistic skills in the family, and she is crazy about knitting. Lately she's been knitting little toys for friends having babies. She has a few adorable books...she just knit the snake on the cover of this book for my BFF's baby. Unbelievably cute. I'll try to find a link to the other book she usually uses too, because the stuff is so cute I can't handle it.

I am currently making a garter stitch only baby blanket, a little over half done. I just started a new baby blanket for another baby that combines the knit and purl in the same row. I am struggling a bit with ladders. I am part of Ravelry, which is cool. I can't wait to try other stuff, but I want to get these blankets done. I have another two babies I have to make stuff for. One is not due for several months so I am okay to learn something new for that one. I was hoping to make some booties and a hat for one of them, but that might be above my abilities right now. We shall see.. Thanks for all the info.. Post some of your projects, I would love to see what everyone is doing!!
